Going green is the most important issue of our time.
Each and everyone of us is contributing to global warming. And now it’s time for every one of us to contribute in any small way to the solution of this growing fatal crises. To start, just do one green thing. Changing cleaning practices and products are an easy way to go green. Changing to non-toxic agents is a clear and quick way to un-pollute your immediate environment. Choosing biodegradable, recycled and recyclable paper products is an easy way to help lessen your impact and change the tide.
We can save forests if we simply switch to recycled toilet paper, paper towels and napkins.
Typical everyday paper products are usually made from ‘virgin tree’ fibers. Virgin fiber comes from old growth trees and entire forests must be cleared in order to produce it. As our forests are destroyed, we have fewer trees to help keep air, soil and water clean, support wildlife and absorb the carbon dioxide that causes global warming. In addition, chlorine, a whitener used in most traditional papers, releases toxins into our air and water supply when combined with other processing chemicals. Plus, recycled fiber paper costs less per square foot than most leading brands using virgin fiber.
We can protect our water and soil by using non-toxic cleaning agents.
Most traditional cleaning products contain harsh chemicals such as chlorine bleach, ammonia, petroleum distillates, formaldehyde, and phenols, which are poisonous and can cause cancer, asthma and other lung problems. Chemical cleaning supplies not only threaten our personal health with direct use, they also end up in our rivers, oceans, soil and air. That’s not good!
Get healthy and be smart for your environment, employees, customers and future generations.
